How They Met
Well, lets be honest the girl always gets the guy!!! So, Rebecca was just starting a new job in Westport, CT after finishing grad school. In the midst of that, she was interested in dating. She would spend time on her computer, in the privacy of her own apartment and peruse the Internet dating sites. Internet dating was slowly becoming more appropriate but still hush hush thing to do.
So one night Rebecca was on Jdate.com and saw a profile she was interested in - you all know where the story goes from here!!! She e-mailed this guy who in the pictures had FANTASTIC legs and met her height requirement:taller than 5'10". She e-mailed this guy whose profile name was bushwickbill. She got a response from bushwickbill and was rather excited, as these things are hit or miss. Rebecca and bushwickbill, later known as Bill, swapped e-mails and decided that a meeting would be the next step.
Rebecca let Bill know that she would be coming to Manhattan on a Thursday in January for a wedding she was in and Bill let Rebecca know he was coming to Stamford, CT for a business meeting that same Thursday. Rebecca looked at the train schedules and found a train in Stamford, CT to take to NYC. It was official, a meeting at the Metro North Stamford, CT train station would take place at 5:00pm on a Thursday in January.
So, the Thursday rolled around and Rebecca received a phone call from Bill, who was lost and perhaps may not be able to make it, as my scheduled train was leaving within 20 minutes and he had not arrived yet. Finally another exchange on the phone, he was there and I let him know what was I wearing. Rebecca and Bill saw each other, he bought her a hot chocolate and waited on the platform with her until her train came. It was a great moment and Rebecca got a good vibe in the 10 minutes she met him. Obviously Bill got a similar feeling and a second date was scheduled, Rebecca's mother was privy to that date!
The rest is history as you know Bill and Rebecca...soon to be husband and wife.
