Columbus Day Weekend

Don't forget: it's Columbus day weekend, so you may wish to make it a long weekend.

Car rental vs. Public transport

As a visitor, you will likely chose to rent a car, providing greater flexibility while traveling through suburbia and greater Atlanta.  However, it is not entirely necessary.  Should you wish, you can easily take the local train system (MARTA) from the airport to the Doraville station.  Once you have arrived at the station, you can reach the hotel (770 263-8558) and arrange for the shuttle to pick you up and take you to the hotel.  (Please don't call before you arrive, as there is no parking at the station.)  You may also use the shuttle on the night of the hotel to the event.  Local taxi service can be arranged as well.
